Have always loved paper boats and for that matter, paper hats....it's the shape I love I think or the vulnerability.....so after I made this paper boat, I already had the little flag borrowed from a previous work (Hello Sailor) and the idea of a flag pole sort of came naturally.......then of course the little guy HAD to be collecting stars.....so the whole piece had to be elevated as stars are so high!

Of course, The Star Catcher would be travelling very fast with his dog, ears flapping in the wind; and little bird for company! He managed to catch a star though!! Well done to him!!

This entire work is bronze, and is finished in a beautiful greenish yellow patina, especially created for my work........the base is sandstone and the sculpture is fixed with a stainless steel pin and is very stable. Each work is signed and editioned.
